4. Never clean your skin with strong solutions (acetone, gasoline, nail polish remover)
5. To remove scratches and abrasions on a leather product, use liquid leather. Its composition resembles gouache, so it is easy to use: liquid skin should be applied to the damaged surface in an evenly thin layer, at the same time lightly pressing the treated areas with a dry sponge - this gives the skin relief. Wait until the liquid skin dries; if the problem does not disappear, repeat the procedure. Use liquid leather of the same color as your product, the set usually includes 7 colors, mixing them you can get any shade.
6. Lubricate the worn areas on the skin with white cream; it can be prepared at home. To do this, melt 9 grams of beeswax in an enamel bowl and add 1.5 grams of potassium carbonate and 16 ml of turpentine while stirring. Heat the mixture to 70 degrees, stirring constantly, add 40 ml of water. Cool the resulting paste quickly and store it in a sealed glass container.
7. Tannins, which give it strength and are used in tanning leather and can be extracted from there when you walk in the rain in a leather jacket. You must not forget to take an umbrella, but if the jacket gets wet, you need to dry the product with paper or dry cloths and saturate the dark leather with glycerin, petroleum jelly or castor oil.
8. Do not clean leather products with pure (without additives) gasoline.
9. Leather items are renewed if they are wiped with beaten egg white.
10. Scuff marks should be wiped from time to time with a clean cloth previously soaked in glycerin. Or wipe the outside with fresh orange peel, it contains a lot of essential oils, they restore the shine of the skin.
11. “Refresh” leather coats and jackets with a swab previously moistened with soapy water with the addition of glycerin. After this procedure, you should wipe the skin with a cloth soaked in undiluted glycerin or castor oil.
12. From time to time, in order to prevent abrasion, very soft and thin leather can be wiped with a mixture of equal parts of turpentine and milk, then wiped with white leather cream.
13. Clean thin leather gloves with a solution of gasoline soap; to do this, you just need to put them on your hands or on the frame. Rub very dirty areas with a mixture of ethyl alcohol and zinc oxide. Lubricate leather gloves that have become hardened by water with castor oil or hold them a little in soapy water with the addition of vegetable oil. Or treat with water acidified with table vinegar.
14. If you lightly rub leather gloves with talcum powder, they will become shiny. And if you pour talc inside the gloves and rub it in, shake out the excess, then they will not stain your hands or fade.
