How to knit an amigurumi dog: Master class. Crochet amigurumi dog: patterns, knitting techniques Crocheted amigurumi puppy

Knitted crafts can be not only cute and beautiful toys for children, but also excellent souvenirs or gifts that will decorate and, perhaps, complement the interior of your home. If you're just starting out with crafting, try crocheting small amigurumi-style dogs and you'll soon be wanting to fill your space with lots of these adorable, easy-to-make stuffed animals.

Amigurumi - knitting for everyone

This beautiful and interesting word is the name of one of the techniques in the Japanese art of knitting small animals - needlewomen knit bunnies, cats, dogs, bears, monkeys, owls, sheep and many other little animals. Initially, such knitting was done both on knitting needles and in crochet, but recently crafts made with crochet have become increasingly popular.

As a rule, to knit amigurumi, you take regular colored yarn and use a very simple knitting method - in a spiral. An amigurumi dog, like any other knitted toy in this style, begins with knitting the so-called amigurumi ring. If you look at the diagrams, you will see that it is usually indicated there in the first row.

However, if you wish, you can start in a different way: just pick up two air loops and knit the number of single crochets that you need into the second loop from the hook. However, keep in mind that the amigurumi ring has a very big advantage, since with this method of knitting you will not have a hole in the middle.

In Japanese technology, unlike European technology, there is, as a rule, no need to connect circles. It is better to knit with a crochet that is a couple of sizes smaller relative to the thickness of the selected yarn. This way you will be able to create a dense fabric in which there will be no openings or gaps, and this will help preserve the stuffing material and give the toy a more aesthetic appearance.

The amigurumi dog is made in parts, which are then connected. Sometimes, to give life weight to the limbs, plastic pieces are used to stuff them, and the body itself is stuffed with fiber filler.

Master class Dachshund rainbow amigurumi crochet

Before you start working directly, prepare everything you need:

  • yarn of the desired colors (as a rule, you will need several);
  • hook relative to the thickness of the yarn;
  • filler (you can use cotton wool or padding polyester);
  • scissors, glue;
  • a special needle for sewing soft toys or a needle with a large eye;
  • blanks for the nose and eye (these can be beads), other decorations, if you like.

Decide on the expected appearance of your future toy. An amigurumi puppy can be any breed: dachshund, bulldog, poodle, dalmatian, papillon, shiba, shiba inu or any other. Depending on what you choose, you will need to select the colors of the yarn.

And here are some examples for inspiration. Let's start with the dachshund.

  1. The dachshund amigurumi will look very beautiful if you use threads of bright rainbow colors to create it. You will also need a thin hook (No. 1.5).
  2. First make the body of the dachshund. You need to start and end with one color (let it be brown), and in the middle place stripes of all the colors of the rainbow. Having tied the body, fill it with filler.
  3. Then grab your head. You need to start knitting it from the spout, that is, with black yarn. Then also stuff and tie.
  4. Now it’s the turn of the neck and ears. And after that - the tail and paws.
  5. When everything is ready, sew all the parts together, glue on the eyes (or sew on beads). You can also make a small beautiful collar for your dachshund. To do this, you need to knit twenty chain stitches, connect them into a ring and knit twenty single crochets. Then cut the thread, choose some other color and use a thread of this color in the first row of the chain that you already have, knit another twenty sc on the reverse side. To finish the collar, take a bead, thread it through the thread and secure.
  6. Your rainbow and cheerful dachshund is ready!

Having chosen the desired scheme, focus on it. First, tie the head and mark with dots the places where you will later glue or sew the eyes. Having finished the head with the nose, move on to the ears and front legs, then the body, hind legs and tail. Having knitted all the parts, stuff them with filler and sew them together.

Finally, you can decorate your dogs with some interesting details or accessories, giving them a special personality, charm and character.

Amigurumi is the art of crocheting toys. This type of creativity originated in Japan. Initially, these were small toys: amigurumi dogs, cats, bear cubs, bunnies, and so on. Later, craftswomen began to knit products of medium and large sizes. Now this art is widespread all over the world. If you wish, you can find thousands of different descriptions and diagrams of amigurumi dogs, dolls and even clothes for them and interior items. Knitters also love to create toy food: cakes, ice cream, fruits and vegetables, French fries, etc.

You can also make good money by knitting toys. Many craftswomen knit items to order. Knitted toys look very unusual and original, which is why many people buy them. Anyone, even a beginner knitter, can try their hand at this.

Almost everyone would like to have their own dog, if not a real one, then at least a toy one. We offer some diagrams and descriptions of amigurumi dogs.

Abbreviations

For convenience, we will use the following abbreviations:

  • sc - single crochet;
  • pk - increase;
  • uk - decrease;
  • vzp - air loop.

Dalmatian: description

After the release of the world famous film "101 Dalmatians" many people fell in love with these beautiful animals. Let's try to knit such an amigurumi dog according to the master class presented below.

To do this you will need white and black yarn. Excellent for knitting Dalmatian "Pekhorka": "Children's novelty" is a rather thin yarn - it will require a hook measuring 1.5-1.7 millimeters.

You also need scissors and a needle with a large eye in order to connect all the parts after knitting the amigurumi dog. For the eyes you will need beads and floss threads to sew them on.

If you use eyes on the mount, you won't need floss threads.

Don't forget about holofiber - this is one of the best fillings for toys: it does not cause allergies and does not deteriorate when washed.

And now more about how to knit an amigurumi dog.

Head

Let’s remember the conventions and start knitting the dog’s head:

  • 6 single crochets in an amigurumi ring;
  • 6 increments (12);
  • (stbn, pb) six times (18);
  • (2 sc, pb) 6 times in a row (24);
  • (3, pb) x 6 (30);
  • (4, pb) x 6 (36);
  • (5, pb) x 6 (42);
  • (6, pb) x 6 (48);
  • (7, pb) x 6 (54);
  • (8, pb) x 6 (60);
  • (9, pb) x6 (66);
  • 10 rows in a row: 66 short stitches, that is, single crochet;
  • (9 sc, uk) x 6 (60);
  • (8, uk) x 6 (54);
  • (7, uk) x 6 (48);
  • (6, uk) x 6 (42);
  • (5, uk) x 6 (36);
  • (4, uk) x 6 (30);
  • (3, uk) x 6 (24).

Finished knitting the head. Now let's move on to the muzzle. Take a white thread:

  • 6 add. (12);
  • (sc, pc) six times (18);
  • (2 sc, pc) x 6 (24);
  • (3 sc, pc) x 6 (30);
  • 9, pk, 9, pk, 9, pk;
  • 7 rows in a row: 33 single crochets.

Now we knit the ears:

  • two air loops and in the first of them 6 single crochets;
  • 6 approx. (12);
  • (sc, pc) x 6 (18);
  • 8, pk, pk, 8 (20);
  • 9, pk, pk, 9 (22);
  • 10, pk, pk, 10 (24);
  • 11, pk, pk, 11 (26);
  • 12, pk, pk, 12 (28);
  • 13, pk, pk, 13 (30);
  • 4 rows in a row: 30 single crochets;
  • 13, uk, uk, 13 (28);
  • 12, uk, uk, 12 (26);
  • 11, uk, uk, 11 (24);
  • 10, uk, uk, 10 (22);
  • 9, uk, uk, 9 (20);
  • 8, uk, uk, 8 (18);
  • 7, uk, uk, 7 (16);
  • 16 single crochets.

Torso

We start by knitting the legs. Using black thread:

  • 2 ch, in the second from the hook 6 short stitches;
  • 6 pcs (12);
  • (sc, pc) with six reps (18);
  • (2 sc, pc) x 6 (24);
  • (3 sc, pc) x 6 (30);
  • 3 rows in a row: 30;
  • 9 sc, uk, uk, uk, uk, uk, 11 sc;
  • 8 sc, uk, uk, uk, uk, 8 sc;
  • 8 sc, uk, uk, 8 sc;.

Now take the white thread:

  • 19 rows in a row: 18.

We crochet the second leg of the amigurumi dog in the same way.

  • 42 single crochets;
  • 14 sc; (sc, pc) six times; 16 sc (48);
  • 12 rows in a row: 48;
  • 14 sc, decrease, 14, uk, 14, uk (45);
  • 2 rows in a row: 45;
  • 13 sc, uk, 13, uk, 13, uk (42);
  • 2 rows in a row: 42;
  • 12 sc, uk, 12, uk, 12, uk (39);
  • 2 rows in a row: 39;
  • 11 sc, uk, 11, uk, 11, uk (36);
  • 2 rows in a row: 36;
  • 10 sc, uk, 10, uk, 10, uk (33);
  • 2 rows in a row: 33;
  • 9 sc, uk, 9, uk, 9, uk (30);
  • 2 rows in a row: 30;
  • 8 sc, uk, 8, uk, 8, uk (27);
  • 2 rows in a row: 27;
  • 7 sc, uk, 7, uk, 7, uk (24);
  • 2 rows in a row: 24.

The amigurumi dog's body is now crocheted. Leave the thread for sewing on the head.

Let's move on to the front paws. First we use black thread:

  • 6 short columns;
  • 6 approx. (12);
  • (sc, pc) x 6 (18);
  • 18 short columns;
  • 7 sc; 3 double crochets in one loop; 10 sc (21);
  • 7 sc; decrease of 3 columns; 10 sc (18);
  • 18 short columns;
  • 4 sc, uk, 4, uk, 4, uk (15);
  • 3 sc, uk, 3, uk, 3, uk (12).

Now the white thread:

  • 23 rows in a row: 12.

Let's start knitting the tail:

  • 6 basic columns in a “magic” ring;
  • 3 rows in a row: 6;
  • sc, pc, 1, pc, 1, pc (9);
  • 12 rows in a row: 9.

And only stains remain. They are very easy to knit. We make an amigurumi ring, knit six single crochets into it. Next, based on the desired size of the spot, we knit an increase. For a small spot, you can stop at two rows (the second of which includes six increases). For a large spot, we continue to make increases: third row - (sc, pb) six times; the fourth - (two sc, pb) six times and so on.

Well, the amigurumi scheme is finished. Now let's move on to assembly. The parts need to be sewn to each other carefully. Before doing this, be sure to tightly fill the parts with holofiber.

Keychain in the shape of a dog: description

We knitted a larger dog, a smaller dog, and now we will knit the smallest one, which can easily fit in the palm of your hand and even in your pocket.

For knitting you will need beige and brown yarn.

Head

We use beige thread for knitting:

  • 6 pcs (12);
  • (stbzn, pk) six times (18);
  • (2 sc, pc) the same number of times (24);
  • (3, pc) x 6 (30);
  • (4, pc) six repetitions (36);
  • 7 rows in a row: 36;
  • (4 stbzn, uk) six times (30);
  • (3, uk) the same number of repetitions (24);
  • (2, uk) the same (18);
  • (1, uk) the same amount (12).

The face is also knitted from beige yarn:

  • 6 columns without nac. amiguru ring;
  • 3 dc in one loop, 2, 3 dc in one loop, 2 (10);
  • 3 pcs, 2 stbzn, 3 pcs, 2 (16);
  • 2 rows in a row: 16.

Ears - for them we will choose brown threads:

  • 6 columns without nac. in an amigurumi ring;
  • 6 pcs (12);
  • 8 rows in a row: 12 single crochets;
  • 4 stbzn, uk, 4, uk (10).

Torso

Beige thread used:

  • 6 columns without nac. in a circle;
  • 6 pcs (12);
  • (stbzn, pk) six times (18);
  • 7 rows in a row: 18;
  • (stbzn, uk) x 6 (12).

We also knit the back legs from beige yarn:

  • 6 basic columns in an amigurumi ring;
  • 2 stbzn, pk, 2, pk (8);
  • 4 rows in a row: 8.

The front legs are the same color as the hind legs:

  • 7 pillar without nac. in a ring;
  • 5 rows in a row: 7.
  • 6 short columns in a “magic” ring;
  • 2 stbzn, pk, 2, pk (8);
  • 8 basic columns.

Knitting has come to an end. Now you need to connect all the parts, carefully sewing them together. We sew the muzzle to the head and embroider a nose on it with brown yarn. We place the eyes on both sides of the muzzle. The ears should not be sewn directly on the top of the head, otherwise they will seem too short; it is better to place them a little lower, on the sides. We attach the front and hind legs equally to the body.

That's all, the product is ready! A keychain in the shape of a dog will perfectly decorate your keychain or handbag. We wish you inspiration and happy knitting!

In anticipation of the coming 2018, I want to prepare for the holiday, observing all the traditions. One of them is the presence of attributes corresponding to the symbol of the year. In this article you will learn how to crochet an amigurumi dog using a crochet hook. The detailed diagrams will help you create an original toy that will decorate a room or live on a Christmas tree.

Features of amigurumi knitting

Knitting each small toy begins with the formation of a ring, which, after creating the first row, is tightened tightly. With this method, the central hole closes, which indicates correct and high-quality work. In this technique, knitting is not interrupted, the beginning of the row is not highlighted by lifting loops, but is knitted in a circle and forms a spiral. Often an amigurumi dog consists of several parts, which are created separately and then sewn into one product. Usually the work begins with knitting large parts, such as the head and torso. Then the paws and tail are knitted and a muzzle with ears is formed.

In order to avoid cracks and gaps in the product, it is recommended to use a smaller hook, as recommended by thread manufacturers. Thanks to this little trick, the loops will fit snugly against each other, preventing the padding material from coming out.

Changing the image

The size and appearance of an amigurumi dog can be easily changed by increasing or decreasing the number of stitches and rows. Also, the thickness of the yarn plays an important role in the size of the puppy. In order for the toy to be stable, the limbs are filled with weighty granules, and the body itself with cotton wool or synthetic padding. You can give mobility to the animal using wire, which is placed in an empty product in the form of a frame, and then the filler is carefully and evenly distributed along the created skeleton.

Necessary materials

To knit a small amigurumi dog, you need the right yarn. If you want to combine several colors, you should choose threads of the same composition. Otherwise, your pieces won't match and your piece will end up awkward. Small animals are usually knitted from cotton, wool or acrylic. Experienced craftswomen use a type of thread such as “grass” or plush yarn. One option gives the dog fluffiness, and the other makes it soft and tender to the touch.

The necessary tool is a hook. To increase the density of knitting, it is advisable to choose a tool slightly smaller than the number corresponding to the yarn.

The muzzle of a crocheted amigurumi dog can be created from separately knitted cheeks and glued nose and eyes. It is permissible to simply embroider the mouth and other details with contrasting thread. For this, as well as for stitching the parts, you will need a large and long needle. Puppy eyes can be made by sewing beads or buttons to the head.

Head tying

Sometimes other small toys are given in the form of a description. This method will make it easier to understand the technique and repeat the detailed steps of tying a dog.

  1. Creating a puppy begins with the formation of the head. Take the prepared yarn and wrap your index finger with the thread from the ball twice. Carefully holding the coils, remove the resulting ring.
  2. You need to knit 6 simple stitches into it. An evenly knitted circle is the basis of an amigurumi dog, the diagrams of which are given below. To create a circle in the next row, double the number of stitches by knitting two stitches in each stitch.
  3. Next, add an additional stitch through one loop. After completing the circle, increase the number of columns every two loops, then every three. At the end of the fifth row, your circle should contain 30 stitches.
  4. Knit the next row without changes: in one loop - one column. In the seventh row, distribute the increases evenly around the circumference, that is, six columns.
  5. Knit the next two circles, having 36 loops, without additional additions.
  6. This will be followed by reductions in the number of loops. Alternately in one row it is necessary to reduce the number of stitches after knitting every three loops, in the next row knit without decreasing. Repeat the process one more time.
  7. In the 14th row, make cuts after knitting every two stitches.
  8. Create the next circle without changes.
  9. Next, decrease through one loop.
  10. Then knit three rows without shortening.
  11. Fill the part with padding polyester and tie the head, knitting one from every two stitches until all the loops are closed.

Shaping the torso

Knitting the body, as well as the head, begins with creating a circle. Knit the first four rows, making additions according to the circle pattern. Break the cuts, ending up with 24 stitches in a row. Next, knit 9 - 10 circles without increasing the number of loops. In the process of creating the body, you can change the color of the threads. Then your toy will turn out more fun and festive. Then begin to decrease the columns according to a pattern that mirrors the increases. One row with reduction after every two stitches, then after every stitch. Next, from every two stitches, knit one until the part is closed. Do not forget to fill the body with padding polyester until it decreases.

Small details: ears, paws, tail

When crocheting the front and back legs in the amigurumi dog pattern, a circle is described, consisting of two rows with additions; it has 12 columns around its circumference. Next, 4 rows are knitted without increasing the loops. In the next two rounds, the stitches are shortened after each loop. The hole of the part is stitched at the very end. Repeat knitting the pattern three more times. As a result, you will have 4 legs ready.

The ears are knitted along a chain of 12 chain stitches with a transition to the opposite side. The pattern is similar to knitting an oval-shaped part. Work begins with two simple columns following each other. Then 2 half-columns and 6 columns containing a double crochet are created. In the last loop you need to knit 5 double crochets, go to the opposite side of the chain and knit a row, repeating the order of knitting the stitches in the opposite direction. At this stage, the knitting of the ears is completed. All you have to do is secure the end of the thread.

The puppy's tail is a chain of 9 loops, into which 4 simple stitches are sequentially knitted, one shortening, and single crochets in the remaining loops.

Assembling an amigurumi dog

The most exciting thing is the last stage of knitting. Before stitching together an amigurumi dog toy, you need to create a puppy’s face. The nose and mouth can be embroidered with dark-colored thread, and the eyes can be made from beads, sewn on or glued on. Afterwards the head is sewn to the body, and then the hind and front legs are attached to the body. The legs can be sewn so that the dog can take a standing or sitting position. The ears can be placed at different heights, which will give the image of a puppy. The tail must take its place.

Crocheting an amigurumi dog will bring real pleasure both to the author and to those people to whom you present a soft and charming toy as a gift.

Hi all! Today I want to offer you an unusual topic, or rather, even this relates to one of my favorite hobbies. Once upon a time, I was fond of knitting and crocheting. With the birth of my babies, I rarely started knitting, but the moment came when the children grew up a little and I had time to make souvenirs with my own hands.

Today I suggest you knit funny puppies, one might say animal dogs, which will be made using the amigurumi technique. Moreover, the New Year is just around the corner, and the symbol of next year will be a dog. I hope you like my selection.

I will say right away that I took all the pictures and photos that you will see here exclusively from the Internet, I selected exactly those that I liked the most, and those that are in the public domain for everyone.

I’ll start with the simplest and most uncomplicated descriptions of the work to help beginners understand how to knit such wonderful creations, because they are only at the very beginning of the path of handicraft activity.

Of course, I understand that many people like certain breeds of dogs and therefore you would probably want to breed the one that you love most. Perhaps you have such a pet living with you, but unfortunately, I cannot provide you with so many diagrams and step-by-step descriptions of all dog breeds.

1. I propose to knit you, first of all, the easiest dog in the amigurumi style, in my opinion.

This is such a mischievous blue puppy that any child will be happy to see.

Knitting stages:

1. First of all, prepare all the tools and materials for work. Tie the legs and body first.

2. Then start decorating and knitting the head.

3. All other parts of the body are knitted separately. Read the instructions and follow all instructions.

2. For the little ones, I want to suggest knitting such a wonderful masterpiece, it’s just lovely, see for yourself:

3. The next option is actually funny, such little cuties and charmers can live in your house. They are cute and very small in size. It won’t take much yarn at all, you can knit a whole bunch of these:

4. You can also crochet a keychain in the shape of a dog.

Don't forget to glue on the nose and eyes, ears and paws. Also, using a needle and thread, embroider the place where the nose is, a vertical strip, you can make eyebrows. To make a tail, you can simply tie a regular lace from loops, and then sew it on where the dog’s butt is))).

5. You can see a fairly simple version of a dog for beginners in this step-by-step photo instructions:

Crocheted amigurumi dogs for the New Year with descriptions and work patterns

I couldn’t ignore this topic, because the holidays are coming, and this is what I found:

All these four options just fell into my soul, I share one of them on the pages of my website in more detail with all the descriptions of the work, from these pictures you can knit such a wonderful dog. If you have any questions, write your comments and reviews.

Start the craft with the paws, tie two identical paws, and then connect them together.

This way they will not be sewn on separately.

After you knit the body, knit two legs and ears, and then a muzzle and a red cap, like Father Frost or Santa Claus.

But the other three master classes, if anyone needs them, write to me, I will send them to your email absolutely free of charge, just leave a comment at the bottom of this article))). I will definitely answer.

And you know what’s the coolest thing: from a brown dog, or rather a template and diagrams, you can make not only a puppy, but other animals, such as a deer, a koala, a bear and a lamb, see for yourself:

The body and head are the same, such a universal layout, just a different design. Great and just a super idea!

In fact, the symbol of the coming year will be a dog in light yellow colors; this information is taken from the eastern calendar. Although some sources speak specifically about a white dog. I think that in any case, every needlewoman can make such a toy souvenir or talisman.

Since there were different opinions, I found two master classes in two different colors. One is quite easy, the other is a little more difficult, choose the one you like best.

1. A white and gentle-looking puppy named Bobik will decorate any New Year tree or act as a decoration on the holiday table.

2. Well, in the golden color of yellow shades, such a cool and super wonderful dog named Romashka can live in your home:

That's all for me, and in conclusion, I want to offer you a bunch of pictures and photos with knitted dogs from young craftswomen. Do you want the same ones for yourself??? Bow-wow)))

Perhaps you didn’t like the options that I showed you before, so choose from these, but I can send you step-by-step instructions and descriptions with diagrams for free to your email, just write a comment below with a request to send master classes of animals in the form of dogs.

I have such a mischievous family, just super in my opinion!

The selection is large, but how diverse it is.

There are dogs of different breeds, almost all of them, or most of them))).

These include pugs, poodles, mongrels, chihuahuas, bulldogs, Dalmatians, dachshunds, huskies, dogs in the shape of a tilde doll, and even the hero Buddy from the cartoon about the Barboskins, Snoopy. And just for the little ones, there is a pattern for knitting a rattle.

I don't know about you, but I like it.

Look at these charming cuties, there are Bobiki and Balls, and even Barbosik with a smile.

Do-it-yourself crocheted toys have always been valued and will be the most original gifts, and most importantly, safe for children and adults.

I think that all dog fans will certainly be happy with this selection. In addition, I got it for free, of course I had to go to different sites and collect it, so I am happy to share it with you, dear guests and readers of the blog. I hope it will be useful to someone))).

By the way, you can send me your photographs of animals through feedback, just write a letter and I will be happy to publish your work here on this site.

That's all for me, I have such a plush and soft selection of toys! See you all! Bye bye!

Sincerely, Ekaterina Mantsurova
