How to play in the apartment, find a gift. Quest for my husband on his birthday. Looking for a hidden surprise

Hi all! Recently it was my husband’s birthday and I thought for a long time about what to give him. Then I found a gift and wanted to give it in an original way. I scoured the internet and found an option called a quest game. I liked the idea and started designing the quest. To begin with, I will say that I decided to place the gift itself in the freezer (in each envelope I put a letter from this word, so that at the end of all the tasks my husband would make up the word where the gift is located), but so that my husband could find it himself, I designed several for this place search steps with tasks. I'll tell you in more detail later. If anyone is interested, stay on the page.... At the end I will show you the gift itself and the materials I used.

So, let's begin...
I printed out an envelope and a form for the text of the letter

I glued the envelope together and wrote the letter by hand, because that’s the only way letters are written. I cut the letter itself up like a puzzle for my husband to assemble and read.
Inscription on the envelope:
From whom - From my beloved wife
From - From the heart
To: My beloved husband
Where - In person
The text of the letter itself (in case it comes in handy for someone) - My dear husband, on this day I want to wish you so much! Please always remain the most wonderful husband in the world! And I will do everything so that when you come home and leave for work in the morning, you are happy. I love you very much, my dear. Happy birthday, my wonderful husband!
“I prepared a gift for you, but I won’t give it to you. I suggest you take part in the quest game and find my surprise yourself!
Kohl to all my riddles
Can you find the answer
Then you will receive a gift,
Or rather, you will find it yourself!”

I threw the letter itself into the mailbox and then told my husband to pick up the mail, or I could hand it over personally or send him an SMS that he had received a letter.
My husband’s reaction - he opened the envelope, saw that the letter was out of order, smiled, folded everything and read it carefully with a smile, and then said, well, it’s necessary. How interesting you cut the letter.
And I put the first envelope in the washing machine.

1. Envelope in the washing machine
The task is to connect the picture by dots and guess where the next clue is.
We have a picture in our house, assembled a long time ago from a children’s puzzle with a picture of a cat; I attached a second envelope to the back of the picture.
Husband's reaction - Oh, what a face, who? He drew it quickly, but didn’t immediately understand where it was, he said, we don’t have animals at home.

2. Envelope behind the picture
Task - You will always find a clue where the water splashes noisily (Answer - Bathroom)
In the bathroom, I secured 3 envelopes behind the mirror, so that one corner stuck out a little, in my opinion it was better this way.
My husband's reaction - he guessed quickly and stomped into the bathroom, saying that he caught a glimpse of something colored in the mirror :)

3. Envelope in the bathroom behind the mirror
Assignment - poem about a razor
The next envelope was in the compartment of his shaving cabinet.
The husband’s reaction is “I wonder if this is a hint?”

4. Envelope in the compartment with my husband’s shaving things
Assignment - a poem about a microwave
Husband's reaction - Oh, I hope I don't need to turn it on for the prompt to warm up? :)

5. Envelope in the microwave
Task - Collect the picture in the correct order and on the reverse side assemble a word from the letters you see.
I printed out a picture of a car (a pencil drawing - since my printer is only black and white) and cut it into several parts, gluing letters to some - the word BALCONY
The next clue was attached to the balcony door.

The husband’s reaction - at first he didn’t understand what was required of him, after a few seconds he figured it out and quickly assembled the picture, turned over each fragment in turn and made up a word, of course, after thinking a little.

6. Envelope in the balcony door
The task is a riddle about a chair.
We have a stool on our balcony, I use it to hang things on ropes, my husband made them high and therefore the following envelope was attached to the seat of the chair from the inside.
My husband’s reaction: he didn’t immediately realize that he needed to look under the seat. He said that you can hide the envelope anywhere on the balcony.

7. Envelope under the chair seat
The task is to find Everest in the apartment.
My husband's reaction - he looked at me and asked where to go - is Everest a closet in the room or kitchen cabinets? Before I had time to answer, he pulled a chair and looked at the top of the closet in the room.
And sure enough, there was the next envelope.

8. Envelope on the closet
The last envelope. All the letters found for the word to find the gift itself were scattered in each task envelope and now they had to be combined into a word.

Of course, I did not place the letters in order, but in the word, for intrigue.
My husband put together the letters for about three minutes, I watched him, he was already impatient to receive the gift.
And finally, going up to the refrigerator, he said, “Well, there are three compartments in the freezer...”

And then I took out the wrapped gift.
The Regent Inox "Gotto" thermos mug is convenient for use at home, camping and traveling. Perfectly maintains the temperature of the drink. Universal, for hot and cold drinks. Protects hands from burns, the outer wall does not heat up. Compact, easy to use. The polished surface is easy to clean. Reliable and durable. Environmentally safe.
Volume 520 ml. An ordinary teaspoon is too small for such a mug, so I found a way out and bought an elongated cocktail spoon.
My husband was sooooo pleased. The mug is durable, just right for the workplace, because often ceramic mugs would break, and the poured tea would cool down before it was ready. The problem is now solved.

"Home quest" is a win-win and very simple way to entertain your family and friends at home or in the country. Using a home quest script, you can, for example, congratulate the birthday person on his birthday in an original way. The quest can be carried out for almost any event or even without an event. This game is a sequential chain of tasks written on bright cards. Each card is hidden in a specific place. The player or players find the corresponding card at each stage of the game, solve the puzzle, and the resulting answer points them to the place where the next task is hidden. After going through this entire chain, they find a hidden gift or congratulation.

Items and places

All tasks in this quest are presented in several versions with different answers. You can use our quest scheme or create your own. I have known the game “Twelve Notes” since childhood. This is a very exciting game, similar to the now popular quests. The only downside is that someone has to work a little harder to prepare 12 notes for the players. In childhood, this “someone” was adults who were not indifferent to the fun of children, now I am a mother myself and, to my shame, I prepared this game for my son only yesterday. And he is already nine years old! I've been meaning to do this for several years now, but never had enough time. But, fortunately, Yaroslavna, a participant in the “My Recipe for a Good Mood” competition, wrote a post “Puzzles for Children,” and I realized that it was time to cheer myself and my son up.

The rules of this game are quite simple: the players or the player are given the first note, in which it is written in a hidden, encrypted or secret code where the second note is located. If the player manages to find this second note, then in it he receives a hint where to look for the third. And so on until the twelfth note, in which, as a rule, it is guessed where the prize is hidden. When I was a child, sweets were the prizes, and that was more than enough. After all, the main thing in this game is still excitement, the desire to solve riddles and find the next and next note. But this game can be successfully used to celebrate a birthday or New Year. Then the prize can be gifts, as in my case. Due to circumstances, we presented gifts to Grisha yesterday, and the day before, under the cover of darkness, I put all the notes in their places. But so that everything is clear to you, I will tell you about each note.

To be honest, I got a little more than twelve notes. This happened because I used as a starting point a letter from Santa Claus, in which four days earlier he secretly told his son that a surprise awaited him from his parents. How he knew about this, I have no idea. Apparently, Santa Claus looks after not only children, but also adults. So, on the back of Santa Claus’ letter I wrote the following text:

To find the first note,
You must play a melody.

Can you guess where the first note might be? Somewhere in a musical instrument. Or rather, in the piano - right on the keys. After all, in order to play a melody, you need to open the lid. The first note contained the following text:

Note #1.

Crumbs for breakfast
Dust for lunch
Sand from the hallway for dinner.
There is no tastier food in the world for me.
I am the one you need!
I hid your note
In a mouth like a snake.

I think you can easily guess where exactly the second note was hidden, in which it was written:

Note No. 2.

Now look carefully -
I have note number three.
I'm warming up your room
And I am proud to call myself...

True, it’s not at all difficult to guess where the third note was hidden? The riddle of the fourth note sounded like this:

Note #3.

I am not a simple machine.
I wash your clothes.
Take a look, my friend,
Where the powder is poured.

It was as simple as finding the fifth note using the clues left in the fourth:

Note No. 4.

Without me, something delicious will melt.
And even in the hot summer that
Who will put water in me,
Get real ice.

To find the sixth note, you needed to have some navigation skills:

Note No. 5.

I always lie on the floor
But I will never catch a cold.
I'm soft and fuzzy.
Below me is your note.
Window - north. The sofa is east.
Fold back the southwest corner.

Did you guess it? Then the following note, which turned out not very successful:

Note No. 6.

Hanging by my window
There is a good reason.
Because I...

My child guessed what it was. But I really didn’t immediately find where exactly I hid the sixth note. But he found the seventh note right away. We have a photograph at home in which our son stands in front of a landmark. Almost every elementary school student’s home is full of such photographs, if some photographer has taken “patronage” over the school and almost every month brings different Photoshop tricks to the delight of the children and the sadness of the parents. Because seeing your child against the backdrop of masterpieces of world architecture, dressed as an astronaut or a border guard with a dog, is worth a lot. In the literal monetary sense of the word.

But let’s return to our game of “12 notes” and take a peek at the seventh note:

Note No. 7.

In one English city
I stand for many centuries.
How did I suddenly find myself, Grisha,
on your photo?
Look beyond the turn -
There's a note waiting for you there.

The note was hidden behind the back of a photograph of Big Ben.

The next note was also encrypted taking into account the identity of my son, so you are also unlikely to guess where the next note was hidden:

Note No. 8.

We used to be together
They sang songs very loudly.
But I'm broken.
My dear,
Your note is below me.

Note number nine was hidden under a broken karaoke DVD. It read the following:

Note No. 9.

I'm green, but not a frog.
And there is a handle, but I am not the door.
I'm not a washcloth, not a toy.
I help wash Varyushka.
I am in the bathroom. Check me out.

The note was in the green jug from which I water Varya’s head when we wash her. And the note contained the following riddle:

Note No. 10.

I just showed up.
Spread out on the kitchen table.
I’m lying down - dressed up!
There is a note hidden under me.

This, as you probably guessed, is a kitchen tablecloth. On the eleventh note, inspiration began to leave me, so it was short but succinct:

Note No. 11.

This is the truth, not a lie:
You will find me in your jacket pocket.

The last twelfth note should indicate the location of the prize, but inspiration returned to me again, so I wrote the following in it:

Note No. 12.

I am a strange figure
And I hid the note
In a sock cap.
Hurry - victory is near!

The answer to this strange riddle in the photo:

There was no way I could even play this game without socks. There was an extra note in the sock telling him how to claim the prize. To do this, it was necessary to ask my grandfather if he had seen Grisha’s watch. The clock and grandfather were prepared in advance.

I think that in general terms I was able to explain to you the scenario of the game of 12 notes. But if you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments.

I would also like to tell you a few words about this game:

1. After you have written all the notes, start hiding them in their places from the last one. Otherwise you might get confused. Especially if you decide to make more than 12 notes for the joy of the players.

2. I started preparing the game a day before Grisha played it. But I advise you, and next time I’ll start preparing in advance, so that the poems are better and the riddles are more difficult. So if you are planning to arrange such a game for your children, then start coming up with places for bookmarks and tasks for twelve notes in a few days.

The recipe for a good mood with puzzles from Yaroslavna and her blog “Our Children” turned out to be very effective - Grishka was happy to look for notes around the apartment, his eyes were burning, his head was working, and I was happy to see his joy. Try it yourself and see how much children enjoy such adventures.

This game can be prepared for a birthday, for the arrival of guests. You can reinforce English words if you write exactly them in your notes. This way you can even propose to your girlfriend. It’s enough just to hide a box with a wedding ring instead of sweets at the very end. All you need for this game is a little time, a little imagination, a pen and twelve notes.

If you suddenly have problems with tasks for the game, you can ask for help in the comments. Describe, or better yet, photograph the place or object in which you will hide the note, and I will try to come up with a poem.

The older a person is, the more difficult and troublesome the opportunity to surprise him becomes. Modern youth cannot be pleased with an ordinary gift. We bring to your attention a game of searching for hidden “treasure”. It can be carried out both in an ordinary apartment, house, and in nature or in any other place. You ask how to organize a quest at home? Easily! We give an example of the simplest option, for one person, lasting no more than 15 minutes. This option is well suited if you cannot be present at the event; having prepared in advance, you can leave the player to explore the home on their own. With a little effort, it can be upgraded into tasks for a group of people, extended by increasing the number of steps, and the like.

Let us mention that quest – This is a form of leisure that came to us from computer games. It involves the simultaneous connection of all players of one team to the interaction. And, as a rule, it is aimed at solving certain tasks set in advance that will lead the participants to their goal.

You will need:

Paper;
Scissors;
Glue, tape;
Felt pens - pencils;
A little imagination;
Present.

Treasure map. An important point at the stage of planning and developing a scenario is thinking through the search route. It is most convenient at this stage to draw a plan of the house, or the area for which the game is designed. And place the key points (where the clues will be located) clockwise from the entrance, or the starting point of the route. Thus, you eliminate as much as possible the possibility of finding a gift quickly, because it is, in fact, hidden not far from the entrance, and the game takes the search in a completely different direction. There is an example in the photo.

To determine the number of key points, decide how long the quest should take, and how difficult one game will be (how much time it will take to complete it). For example, we created tasks for a total of 15 minutes, expecting that the games would be easy - 1-1.5 minutes per task - we have 11 points. And the tasks themselves consist only of guessing the next key place. You can make it more difficult by encrypting it with an anagram, a crossword, a rebus, and so on.

Selection of problems. This is where you need that flight of fantasy. We cut out stars for each task and began to come up with ideas. At the entrance, the first detailed hint was waiting for the birthday girl, with instructions on what to do and how to play.

#1 Look for a device that constantly sniffs dirty things.
We are talking about a washing machine. It contains the following hint.

No. 2 Where is the coldest place in the apartment?
This is a freezer. In the freezer there is an envelope with a cut image.

No. 3 Put the puzzle together.

After completing the task, you get a photo of the microwave oven.

And therein lies the next clue.

No. 4 “They ate from their plates, slept on their beds, and there a cup was broken and a spoon was broken.”
This is from the tale of the three bears. We have just such heroes in our bedroom. And they have the next clue.

No. 5 Collect a word from the letters in the envelope.

"Keyboard".

Below the keyboard there is a two-way hint:
No. 6 Side 1: Go from your tablet to the specified page on the Internet and look at the number of reviews.

No. 6 Side 2: Take book No.____ from the shelf above the laptop from left to right. (Enter the number of reviews)

When the player finds out the number of reviews, he will understand that he needs to take the 9th book.

And in it:

#7 Walk through the long tunnel that connects the rooms outside.

We're talking about the loggia.

Hints are posted on it. "He's waiting for you on the couch." In the room on the sofa is the first gift and:

#8 That's not all. Go into the small room where the “treasures” are stored.
This is a storage room.

No. 9 Look for the one who said, “You are the cutest, most ruddy and whitest of all in the world.”
This is a mirror. You need to look through all the mirrors and find:

No. 10 Dial __________ and listen to the answering machine.
Congratulations and indication of the last place with a gift are recorded in advance on the answering machine.

The last gift may include a card with wishes.

Advice: Formulate tasks unambiguously so that the player does not form a false judgment and does not declassify you ahead of time.

Good luck with your quests, take care of your family and friends, please and pamper them more often.

Do you want to give a birthday (or other occasion) gift to your loved ones in an unusual way? There is a great solution - test your ingenuity and ingenuity! Let the gift not come so easily. The hero of the occasion must find a gift, following cunning clues that will gradually lead him to his cherished goal.

This quest (tasks) is suitable for both children from 8 years old and adults (for example, husband, wife, friend, young man, etc.).

Quest script for finding a gift

  1. You hand the birthday boy a beautifully packaged small box, and in it lies a crumpled note. (you can fill the box with confetti, raffia, strips of paper, etc., so that you still have to find the note):

You didn't expect such a gift -

A piece of paper gathered into a ball?

But this is just the beginning of the marathon!

You'll have to work hard, my friend!

To get the first clue, solve the riddle:

Two bellies, four ears - what is it?

Answer: pillow.

The next riddle lies under any pillow in the apartment (on which one sleeps or in sofa or decorative pillows).

  1. Hint #2

Choose a book from your home library. Now you need to make up a word for the next hide and seek place from numbers that will indicate the page, row and serial number of the desired letter.

We write on paper by hand or print it out. We put the note in this book, and the book under the pillow. Encrypt the word PLATE (You can also add color or purpose for complexity, for example, GREEN PLATE, SOUP PLATE).

For example:

The note will look like this (“address” of each letter on a new line):

page row. letter(we don’t indicate this in the note, the detective must guess what these numbers are)

That is, the letter " T" is located in your book on page 150, row 10 from the top, and it is the 4th letter from the beginning of the line. It seems like it takes a long time, but in fact everything is easy and quick to do. It will be interesting for the quest participant, the main thing is to remember, well, or write down the letters.

P.S. Instead of a plate there can be: a flower pot, a favorite cup, the bottom of a lid. In general, anything, but the bottom of something is better. 🙂

3.Hint #3

Glue to the bottom of the selected plate (or something else) QR code. You can download it here ->

How to use the application:

  1. Take a mobile phone with a camera,
  2. Launch the program to scan the code,
  3. Point the camera lens at the code,
  4. Get information!

You'll have to be well prepared. 🙂 If a detective looks at the code like you know who (there have been cases:), then don’t give up, let him think. Well, or give him the phone and let him try to call you.

The following is encoded: It's time to refresh yourself, my friend! Eat a delicious pie!

As an option: if it’s not possible, or you didn’t have time to print it, then tip #2 we encode the word not plate, but COMPUTER (laptop, tablet), because The code can also be read from the monitor or tablet screen. The quest participant must lift the lid of the laptop, or move the mouse on the PC, turn on the tablet, and there will be a picture with a code open.

  1. Hint #4

Prepare a separate pie (bun, cupcake, cake) in advance (either bake it yourself and hide a note inside, or buy a pie and put the hint at the bottom of the plate/box in a small bag.) You can put it in the refrigerator.

In the hint: Get the word right and you'll get the next clue!

The letters are written randomly (preferably in different colors), or you can cut out each letter separately and put it in a small envelope and attach it to the note.

We write the letters of the next cache: OVEN

Alternatively: microwave, bottle, saucepan, coffee pot.

  1. Hint #5

We continue our home quest to find a gift.

In the oven (can be hidden under pans and pots if they are stored in the oven) the following task:

A little more, a little more! And the difficult journey will end!

Solve the riddle and get the following clue:

In a fairy tale he can fly,

At home, become a decoration.

Answer: Carpet

  1. Hint #6

Let's hide the next message under the rug! It’s good if there are several carpets in the apartment, the search will take longer!

There's a mystery under the carpet:

Round, smooth like a watermelon.

Any color, for different tastes.

If you let me off the leash,

It will fly away beyond the clouds.

Answer: balloon

Prepare a balloon.

  1. Hint #7

Place the following clue in the balloon and inflate it. The ball itself must be hidden somewhere, let the quest participant look carefully, it’s not that simple)).

Examples of hide and seek: on/in the closet, under the bed, on the balcony, in a bag.

As an option: you can inflate several opaque balloons so that you still need to determine which balloon contains the clue. You can also use a helium balloon.

To get the clue, you need to burst the ball.

The test participant finds a task in the ball where he must guess the place of hide and seek.

In the note: Next clue in white high-rise building!

Answer: closet.(replace with the color of your cabinet)

We hide the note on a shelf in the largest closet in the house so that a piece of paper (an envelope, a tail of string tied to the note) sticks out.

  1. Hint #8

Clue found in the closet:

Just a little left! Well done!

The centipede will help you find the next clue,

who has a back, but never lies down!

Answer: chair

We hide the next clue on the chair (glue it to the bottom or to the leg with tape).

9. Hint #9

There is one last step left and the quest to find the gift will be completed!

In the last clue under the chair:

Looks like the whim was a success!

You were able to find the answer to everything!

And you can get your prize

Where does the sun's light come from!

Answer: window

Hiding the gift behind the curtains on the windowsill!
