No. Parents live in St. Petersburg, in an apartment seized by Vladimir. My dad is a famous lawyer and has always earned good money. When my parents bought an apartment, they asked me to register it in my name, citing the fact that they were elderly and that the apartment would go to their grandchildren without unnecessary formalities.
When did a breakdown begin in your relationship with your husband?
Everything flared up gradually. In September 2008, Vladimir and I decided to divorce. The only thing was that he asked to wait with the formalities, since at that moment he had two trials going on. He promised: we will solve it peacefully. And during these months he himself was preparing for a divorce with lawyers. Then I was given a choice: you leave the children, leave home - and then I won’t touch you. Work, mind your own business. And if you don’t agree... you’ll see what happens. You will never get children anyway. And he filed a lawsuit. On June 3, the security simply did not let me into my house, to my children, and since then neither me nor my parents have been allowed to communicate with them.

In the morning, the children came to my room as usual to wish me good morning, and we discussed our plans for the weekend. I went to work, and when I returned, the guards at the gate said that Vladimir Iosifovich had ordered me not to be allowed in. “Olga Sergeevna, we can’t do anything, this is an order.” It was a shock for me. No, what I wore to work was what I wore on the street. Bag and car. I was deprived of all my favorite things, but I’m not sorry. I now understand especially clearly that nothing material is important at all, everything is empty. The most important thing in life is to be with your children!

Why did your marriage fail?
We met in the late 80s. When we got married, I moved from St. Petersburg to Moscow. It was not easy for me to adapt to a city that was foreign to me, in which I did not have a single friend. Volodya was actively involved in business, and I had a lot of free time, which I, a professional athlete who was not used to idleness, decided to devote to creating the first fitness club in our country. Moscow has become my hometown, where I have many friends, a favorite job, active social activities, and, of course, because my children live here. But I increasingly began to wonder: am I happy in my marriage and to what extent do my life values and aspirations coincide with those of my husband?
Was the reason for the discord in the family the fact that Vladimir Slutsker had another woman or another man with you?
In his statement of claim, Vladimir writes that the family has long broken up, the marriage relationship has been terminated, and there is no joint household. You know, I could, like many other women around me, go to resorts, go to salons, buy beautiful things - what is not a pleasant pastime? But I prefer to work, a lot. Vladimir claims that his name gave me the opportunity to develop my business. But it is not so. Ask anyone in my industry. I built this business from scratch, there were very difficult periods. Volodya immediately told me quite harshly that I should deal with this matter myself and not involve him. There were times when I turned to him for help, and he gave it to me. But my employees have always been my most important help. And if anyone supports me now, it’s my team and partners. It costs a lot. I was once again convinced that I spent 16 years of my life with the right people. We started building sports complexes in the early 90s, when many people only thought about how to quickly make big money. We wanted a person to develop physically, to be strong in body and psychologically stable, to live in harmony of soul and body. We have 40 excellent sports centers in Russia. I cannot and do not want to leave my country anywhere. It may be that other business people have the opportunity to live abroad and manage from there. And I have everything here. To the Presnensky Court. I was in a lot of pain, but I’m ready to squeeze my nerves into a fist and wait for a fair decision from the court. Vladimir Slutsker is known as a tough person who actively uses his status as a member of the Federation Council to create advantages for himself. My lawyers are seriously concerned about the possibility of administrative pressure on the court.
Do you have reason to think that the court is under pressure from Vladimir Slutsker?
I am a fairly successful entrepreneur. I am separated from my children, I cannot get into my house, and law enforcement agencies cannot not only help me enter the territory where a member of the Federation Council lives, but even get basic explanations from him. But we are confronted by a man elected to the highest legislative body of our country, who, it would seem, should be upholding the law, but it turns out that he is using his high state position for his own personal purposes. And, unfortunately, the state does not intervene when it comes to violation of the parental rights of the mother by a person endowed with immunity status. Having found myself in this most difficult situation, having business training and the means to invite good lawyers to protect my interests, I think with horror what an ordinary woman could do in this situation. Can a woman in our country even protect herself?
As far as we know, the court is considering your spouse’s property claim against you for several tens of millions of dollars, but mainly he wants to sue works of art from your collection.
