Bows are not just hairstyles for girls. Charming bows decorate clothes and accessories; they are used in handicrafts, for gift wrapping and other various purposes.

It would seem that tying a bow from a ribbon is as easy as shelling pears. But when it comes to practice, it turns out that it would be nice to know the technology of this process. We offer several ways to tie beautiful ribbon bows.

The most beautiful bows are made from satin ribbon, but for beginners it may be too slippery. Try tying the ribbon of your choice into a knot and tighten it - if the knot does not come undone, then this ribbon is suitable for your first experiments.

The purpose for which you need the bow also plays a role. If you are going to decorate a dress or blouse, it is advisable to make a bow from the same material as the product itself, or at least similar in texture.

The same can be said about the color of the ribbon - it should be harmoniously combined with the gift wrapping, clothing or handbag that it will decorate.

Classic bow

This type of ribbon tying is usually chosen if fairly small decorative elements are needed. Classic bows made of thin ribbon can be used to decorate a handmade card, hairpin or soft toy.

You can take a wide ribbon and make a larger bow; in this case, make sure that the material is thick enough, otherwise the bow will not hold its shape.

To calculate the required length of the ribbon, you will have to practice; in any case, cut a little more to make it easier to tie the ribbon. Later you can trim off the long edges.

Take a piece of ribbon and fold it in the shape of the letter “M” - at the top you will get two rings of the future bow. Cross the rings by turning one of the rings half a turn. A third ring has formed at the bottom in the middle.

Thread one of the first rings into the third and tighten the bow. Try not to wrinkle the ribbon and work carefully so that the bow turns out smooth and symmetrical. If necessary, trim the ends of the bow to the desired length.

Strict bow

To make such a bow you will need textile glue. Take a piece of tape, lay it along the table and fold the edges towards the center, securing the structure with glue. You will get something similar to the letter “B”.

Now take a small piece of tape - the same color or in a contrasting shade and wrap it around the joint, securing it with glue on the back side. All that remains is to glue the bow to the product.

Based on a strict bow, you can make a two-color bow, which looks much more impressive. Take two ribbons of different widths and place them on top of each other so that the narrow ribbon is on the bottom. Next we proceed according to the above scheme.

Openwork bow

To create such a bow, you need to make several B-shaped blanks of different sizes. We fasten the blanks, placing the narrower ones above the wider ones. We place a ring of ribbon in the center, and thread a masking piece of ribbon into the ring, fixing it on the wrong side of the bow.

The design turns out to be tall, but rather flat, especially if the tape is narrow. If your lace bow doesn't hold its shape, increase the number of B-pieces or choose a thicker ribbon.

Multi-tiered bow

For such a bow, you will need at least three pieces of ribbon, each of which will be a couple of centimeters longer than the previous one and a couple of millimeters wider. You can use ribbon of the same color or different shades.

Cut triangles at the ends of each ribbon with the apex toward the center. Lay the ribbons one on top of the other so that the longest and widest is on the bottom.

We take the ribbon and tie the resulting stack strictly in the middle so that the knot is under the bottom ribbon, that is, on the wrong side. The ends of the connecting ribbon can be left long and used to tie a bow to a gift or to the neck of your beloved pet.

Lush floral bow

This bow resembles a flower bud; it can be used to decorate gift boxes, hair accessories; such a bow looks impressive on a bracelet made of the same ribbon or a wide elastic band.

Take an impressive length of ribbon and begin to form loops, holding the center of the future bow with your thumb and forefinger. Alternate the loops, directing them in one direction or the other.

When you decide the bow is big enough, secure what you're holding with your fingers with wire. If you are going to make a bracelet, sew the middle of the bow with thread and then remove the wire. Attach the bow to the product and straighten the loops.

Experiment with the color, texture and width of the ribbons, creating incredible designs using the simplest schemes proposed, and for clarity, we recommend watching the video. Add color and fun to any holiday or casual outfit.

The belt can rightfully be considered not only a functional, but also a decorative element. Your appearance, image and style depend on how you tie the belt on your dress. Even the most ordinary clothes turn into an exotic or festive outfit if you use a luxurious belt as an accessory. By combining color and shape, you can create fantastic images. It is important to consider the texture of fabrics and the combination of styles and shades. If the dress and belt contrast in color, this adds a special accent and zest to a woman’s look.

A belt is a strip of any material - silk, lace, suede, leather, with which you can belt a dress. Moreover, this can be not only a narrow or wide part of the fabric, but also a lace. Belts are made by weaving threads, satin stitch embroidery, and joining small strips of leather.

Designers offer belts decorated with rhinestones, sequins, beads, chainmail details, beads, and satin appliqués. The most popular are belts made of light fabrics - silk, satin, chiffon, thanks to which you can beautifully tie a belt on a dress and create unusual shapes. It is the belt that allows you to complete the look, add an accent and decorate the silhouette.

In order to focus attention on the beautiful parts of the body, it is important to tie the belt on the dress correctly. Lucky women can wear belts of any shape at the waist, emphasizing femininity and beauty. Women with a silhouette similar to an inverted triangle should use thin belts, and it is advisable to use corsets or wide products.

A wide belt for a loose dress in the form of a tunic allows you to hide figure flaws. If you wear a belt under the bust with an empire style outfit, it accentuates the bust and adds a slimmer silhouette. Midi products are harmoniously combined with a belt slightly above the waist level, which makes it possible to visually lengthen your legs and emphasize their beauty.

A thin belt is best worn with dresses such as a sheath, bag or sheath. Women with curvy figures should not wear a belt on their hips, so as not to emphasize the fullness of the abdomen. It is necessary to use belts of a certain shape and size; only in this case will it be possible to hide figure imperfections and create an elegant, beautiful silhouette.

Types and shapes of belts

There are many different styles and shapes of belts. The classic option is a strip up to 5 cm wide. Models made of soft fabrics are tied in the form of various knots and bows. Rigid samples are not recommended for tying difficultly or giving unusual shapes. A leather belt with a buckle is ideal for knitted, denim or viscose dresses. A medium-length leather belt, tied with a simple knot, looks elegant and can be worn at the waist or hips. If you put a belt on your hips, your height visually increases and your silhouette lengthens.

Belt-sash borrowed from men's fashion. This is an elongated, wide specimen with slightly tapered ends. A belt is put on - a sash - by wrapping it around the waist, with the ends tied in a knot or bow. The wide part, depending on the style of the dress, is placed in the front or back, and the bow (knot) can be in the center or side of the dress. Sashes are often decorated with brooches, fur inserts or rhinestones. This is a stylish and bright accessory with which you can create a luxurious look.

Corset- one of the varieties of a wide belt, it adds sophistication and a certain frivolity to a woman’s image. The corset is relevant for evening dresses and wedding dresses.

Elastic belt- This is a wide or narrow pattern that is worn only at the waist. A thin belt is tied with a bow and used for dresses with a close-fitting silhouette. The wide version is used with a buckle.

The lengths vary between medium, short and long belts. A long belt looks especially elegant and festive. They wrap it around the girl’s waist several times and overlap it. You can secure such a belt with a bow, knot or buckle.

How to knit a belt on a dress?

Short belts can be fastened with a hook, buttons or buckle. Long versions are tied, thrown over, and used to create unusually beautiful bows and flowers. The long belt is folded in half and wrapped behind the back. You can place the ends of a long belt, the loop in front of you. The ends of the belt are inserted into the loop, folded in front of each other and released.

The easiest and most convenient way to tie a belt on a dress is with a bow. The standard version of the bow looks chic on dresses of different styles; it is made up of a knot and loops. You can make a bow from a belt of various widths and lengths; the free parts can be at the same or different levels.

The bow tying diagram demonstrates the technique and description of the method. To make a bow, you need to bring the belt back, then the left end is overlapped with the right end and wound from the bottom up. We make a loop from the lower end, and pass the right one down, while holding the place of the knot with our fingers. The free edge is bent with a loop and with its help the first loop is wrapped from the wrong side, from above and from the outside. It is important to prevent the fabric from twisting at the knot. The retained loop is then inserted under the first outer layer of the knot and tightened with ease.

Bows can be voluminous or small; they can hold their shape well or sag, depending on the density of the fabric. The corrugated bow is made only from soft fabric of a narrow and not very long belt. In this case, the fabric is folded into even folds. To achieve the corrugated effect, at least 4 folds are required. The belt is wrapped around the waist so that the folds do not become deformed. Such belts will decorate a child's or wedding dress, evening dress or club attire.

You can tie a belt on a dress in the form of a half-bow. Initially, the belt is thrown back (behind the back), and the ends are held in front of you. One right part is superimposed on the other left, and tilted inward from bottom to top. The end that came out from above is bent down and placed under the free end. A fold is made on the part of the belt, which is located 10 cm from the junction with the free part. It turns out that the eyelet of the half-bow is threaded into the resulting knot. The flower is a transformed half-bow that can be tied on a belt more than 15 cm wide. The eyelet is taken from the inside with your fingers and pushed under the knot. Thus, the loop turns into 2 semicircles, and the folds resemble a flower. It is better to fasten the middle of the half-bow with a pin. This version of the belt looks beautiful with vintage or retro style dresses.

Among the classic decorative elements of clothing, the bow occupies a special place. It looks equally successful and appropriate on ballroom, cocktail, casual and wedding dresses. In addition, it can be accessed at any age. To create an interesting and competent image, you just need to choose the right place to place the decoration. So how do you tie it?

The following parts of the outfit are traditionally decorated:

A sewn bow is a decorative element that looks good not only on the waist, sleeves or chest. Sometimes the entire dress is decorated with small, neat bows. With this approach, the parts are placed at a distance from each other. The result is a convex volumetric ornament.

The bow can also act as a complementary element to the design. It is placed on the necks of embroidered kittens, on the heads of girls and on tree branches. Moreover, a similar motif is found not only on children's sundresses, but also on outfits for adult women. If you're the latter and have a backless dress in your wardrobe, try hiding the sides and bra clasp with a very wide bow.

Ways to beautifully tie a bow on a dress

Ribbons of different widths are used to decorate the outfit. Based on this feature, wide (width more than 5 cm) and narrow (less than 5 cm) options are distinguished. When using the latter, small, neat decorations are obtained. They look better on the side of the chest, straps, sleeves and hem. Wide cuts are traditionally used to drape the neckline and waist.

Also it is worth considering the properties of the material. A complex design, in which the “ears” must hold their shape well and not fall off, is not built from satin and similar fabrics. But the material allows you to beautifully design the flowing ends and loops.

Simple bows

The principle of their creation is similar to tying shoelaces. A single knot is made and 2 loops are formed, which are then crossed. Then one of them is threaded into the “hole” created during the crossing.

Second method:

Complex bows

Their creation requires not only more time, but also materials and tools. Scissors will definitely come in handy. English needles will also come in handy. It’s worth stocking up on a needle and thread.

Bow flower

To obtain such decoration, thin ribbons not made of flowing materials are more suitable. If you take a wide cut, then do not make the bow too large - the “petals” will begin to hang down, and the required design will not work. You will also need a second tape, even narrower. It is wrapped several times in the middle of the bow to secure the structure.

Important! Ribbons whose edges are trimmed or decorated with decorative coating hold their shape better.

Take the ribbon cut from the skein and fold it lengthwise several times. You will get a multilayer rectangular block. Pinch it in the middle with your fingers and then fold it in half, end to end. The place where the finger lay will become a fold. It needs to be cut off at an angle ( do not cut too deep, otherwise the structure will fall apart).

Next, you need to straighten the workpiece along the fold line and thereby return to the position in which the finger lay in the middle of the rectangular bar. Now the figure will have recesses in the center at the top and bottom. A second, narrower tape will lie along these notches. With its help, the bow is fixed in the middle, and then on the person’s belt.

At this stage, you get a very basic bow shape, but not a flower. To give the final shape, you will need to pull out the loops that were formed by folding the tape multiple times (see step 1).

Important! If there are too many “petals” or they lie very tightly, the structure may fall apart. To prevent this from happening, the tape used for fixation must be strong and tightly tied.

The flower bow can be tied in another way. Moreover this method is much easier. For it you will need a ribbon, scissors and a needle and thread.

The essence of the technique:

The last step is optional. If desired, the remaining ends can be shaped into a false loop.

With one loop

Place a piece of fabric around your waist and make 2 loops of the same size from the ends. Wrap one around the other, thread it halfway into the knot. This will create 1 “eye” and a half threaded end. The latter must be pulled completely through the knot.

Multi-layer complex and stitched

You will need 3 ribbons of different shades and sizes. The thinnest one should be placed in the middle of the widest one and secured in places on it (it’s better to glue it). There is no need to fasten along the entire length; a few fixation points are sufficient.

A circle is formed from the resulting multilayer ribbon (the edge is sewn together). Then the circle is placed and ironed so that it forms a rectangle. Its middle is wrapped and sewn with threads, resulting in a simple bow.

Then the process is repeated from the very beginning to obtain a second bow, which will be an exact copy of the first. These decorations are then sewn together in the middle. Then they start working on 3 previously unused tapes. A contrasting bow is formed from it according to the previously stated principle (it should be slightly smaller than the design of 2 bows sewn together). The resulting decoration is placed on top of 2 and fixed in this position with a thread and a needle.

The final stage: draping the core and seam lines using the thinnest ribbon.

Sewn bow - how to make?

Atlas version. Required materials and tools:

  1. retreat 10 cm from the edge of the tape;
  2. Place the place where the indentation ends on the open palm;
  3. we lead the tape up and circle the middle finger with it (from top to bottom);
  4. then we circle the nameless one (from top to bottom);
  5. circle the middle finger again (the loop should lie next to, and not on top of the previous loop);
  6. circle the nameless one;
  7. circle the middle one;
  8. cut the tape, 20 cm away from the middle finger of the tape;
  9. We insert the end formed after cutting into the gap between the middle and ring fingers (you need to penetrate from the side of the palm), wrap it and bring it to the previous position;
  10. tighten;
  11. remove the resulting bow from your fingers and straighten its loops;
  12. pin or sew to the outfit.

Bow on a wedding dress: examples

Method with wrapping around the waist:

This method requires a wide tape. When choosing a color for it, proceed from the fact that a lighter spot makes you look fatter.. Therefore, for a double-encircling bow, you should take fabric darker than the tone of the dress.

Important! The idea for the color of the ribbon belt can be emphasized from the bride’s bouquet, the color scheme of the interior, the groom’s tie or the bridesmaid’s outfit.

Terry bow(in foreign sources called the ambiguous playful Pom-pom) will look more impressive and elegant if you take a ribbon made of hard material that can hold its shape.

We roll it into several rings, the diameter of which is equal to the diameter of the future bow. Smooth out the loops and make diagonal cuts as shown in the figure. We fold the loops again so that the cut out triangles are in the center of the folded strips of fabric lying in front of us.

Then you should tightly tighten the slits with tape or wire and alternately straighten all the loops on each side of the bow, starting with the inner ones: one to the right, the other to the left, etc. Let's fluff up the bow and mentally admire the beauty that we have just created playfully.

Classic bow outside of time, fashion, space and circumstances. The main thing in this method of tying a bow is that the ribbon does not wrinkle when tying.

Strict bow. Fold the ribbon in half as shown in the picture. We fix the junction of the ends of the tape with glue and smooth it by hand. Take a small piece of tape (or a different color) to wrap around the unsightly joint. Glue the ends of the second ribbon to the back of the product - and the bow is ready.

Tiered bow. To tie such a bow beautifully, you should take three pieces of ribbon of different width and color. Trim them so that the widest piece is the longest and the narrowest is the shortest. Form the ends of the bow. Now tie the folded pieces together with another ribbon, leaving long ends to secure the tiered bow on the gift bag.

Two-color bow. After such manipulations, dealing with a two-color bow will be as easy as shelling pears. We take narrow and wide ribbons of different colors. First, we form a loop from a wide satin ribbon, fastening its ends with glue, and then do the same with a narrow ribbon placed on it. We smooth the resulting “sandwich” tightly with our hands and fix it from the inside in the center with glue or a paper clip. The final bow is formed using a third ribbon, long enough to be tied to the gift bag or box.

Bow "Dior". Some say that the Dior bow is a more complicated version of the “strict” bow. We glue together “rings” from pieces of tape of different lengths, which we then connect together using glue or a stapler. The half-finished bow is placed on a base - a ribbon with cut out ends. And with a third - small - piece of tape, you should disguise the paper clip, gluing its ends to the back of the bow.

Bow flower. The first step in creating this fantastic flower will be an ordinary ring, which you will make from a ribbon, holding it with your thumb and forefinger. This movement should be repeated until there are more than ten such rings in your hand - depending on the desired size of the bow. We tie the rings in the middle with a long narrow ribbon, straighten the loops one by one, and secure them to the gift.

Chrysanthemum bow. Tying a beautiful chrysanthemum bow is much easier than it seems at first glance. To do this you will need strong tape, wire, scissors and a little more patience than in previous versions. The beginning of making “Chrysanthemum” is reminiscent of working on a terry bow. But after fastening the ribbons with wire at the cut site, the time comes to give them the appearance of curly chrysanthemum petals. To do this, uniform cuts are made on the loops folded together. After this, we begin to straighten the “petals”, turning the loops first to the right, then to the left, starting from the inner ones, first on one and then on the other side of the bow.

And finally, another - simplified - version of the bow decoration with curly petals made of plastic braid. We take about a dozen thin, rigid ribbons and tie the gift crosswise with them, fastening the intersection of the ribbons with a tight double knot. Then we will tie the most ordinary classic bow. Let's cut its loops in half, iron each one between the blades of the scissors - and before us is another magnificent, spectacular decoration.

Small matter: choose a beautiful gift for your bow - go visit!

How to tie - fashionable ways

Short belts are fastened with a buckle, buttons or hooks. Much more options for wearing are offered by long models that can be tied, thrown over, tied with bows, or formed into flowers. Craftswomen weave a thin cord belt with macrame knots, but we will turn to simpler options:

You can even decorate and make stylish a luxurious bow that you can create literally from trash, for example, paper, old curtains or T-shirts.

Free loop

Suitable for light leather, faux leather and some types of fabrics (except smooth and slippery ones such as silk and satin).

A wide, long belt can be folded in half, placed behind your back, placing the loop and both ends in front of you. We insert the ends into the loop and release.

A free loop on two sides differs from the first option in that the ends are threaded through the loop towards each other.

"Free loop"

Half bow

The sequence of movements should be like this:

  1. Place the belt behind your back and hold the ends in front of you.
  2. We bend the end that comes out from above down along the outside and place it under the freely hanging second end.
  3. Having measured, on the part of the belt held in the hands, a distance of 10–20 cm from the intersection with the free end, we make a fold - we get the eyelet of the half-bow.
  4. This eyelet must be threaded into the even knot that appeared as a result of step 3.

When tying an asymmetrical half-bow, you cannot pull equally on both ends. The knot formed in this way will not look aesthetically pleasing.

Wool half bow on a dress

Flower

A half bow tied on a belt with a width of 15 cm or more can easily be transformed into a flower (perfect for what is popular this season). To do this, you need to take the eye of the half bow from the inside with your fingers by the middle and push it under the knot. The loop transforms into two semicircles with elegant folds, similar to a flower.

It is advisable to discreetly secure the middle of the loop with a pin.

This option will be in harmony with or vintage.

Corrugated bow

This type of bow can only be tied on soft, non-slip fabric of medium length and wide width. The length of the fabric should be folded evenly.

Read what to wear with a checkered shirt dress, which will tell you in detail about the latest catwalk trends.

To create a corrugated effect, four folds are enough. Wrap the belt around yourself, trying not to let the folds fall apart. And then follow these steps:

  • Place the right end over the left and bring it inward from the bottom up, twisting but not deforming.
  • We bend the end that comes out from above down along the outside and bring it under the freely hanging second end, forming a knot.
  • We pull the held end under the upper tissue of the knot.

The shorter the free ends are, the more obvious the shape of the corrugated bow will be.

Corrugated bow

Classic bow

Looks beautiful on belts of various widths, medium and long lengths. A correctly tied bow will consist of an even, smooth knot and symmetrical loops.

You can decorate it both everyday and to make it more memorable and give it personality.

The loose ends can hang at the same level or one above the other.

  1. Place the belt behind your back and place the ends in front of you.
  2. We put the left end on the right and bring it inward from the bottom up.
  3. We take the lower end to the right and bend it with a loop.
  4. We lower the right end down from the outside, holding it in place of the knot with a finger.
  5. We bend the free edge with a loop and wrap it around the first loop from the bottom, inside out, up and out, avoiding twisting of the fabric on the knot. Insert the held loop under the first layer of knot tissue from the outside.
  6. Gently tighten, avoiding creasing and adjusting the length of the loops.

Classic bow

It was classic bows that decorated sophisticated and children's outfits.

Touchingly for a little princess, it is also quite appropriate to add an airy bow with a mother-of-pearl pearl in the middle.

A belt tied in this way looks like half a bow, which is why it is called that. It looks good on medium-length dresses a la the fifties, with a fairly full skirt. Here's how to tie a beautiful belt on a dress:

  • 1. Make a simple knot. Adjust it so that one end is above the other.
  • 2. Place the upper end under the lower one, tying it so that it passes under its own upper part.
  • 3. Pass the end into the space formed at the top, forming an asymmetrical loop on the side - the “eye” of the bow.
  • 4. Tighten the knot tightly and straighten the resulting half-bow.

  • 2. Take the resulting “eye” from the inside by the middle part, and slide it under the knot.

It perfectly complements dresses of any length and style: floor-length evening, fluffy, midi and mini... Almost all types of belts are suitable for it. Feel free to experiment with any materials!

  • 1. Tie the accessory around your waist. In order for the ends to end up symmetrical, now one of them must be longer than the other. An asymmetrical option at the end is also possible - it looks no less elegant.
  • 2. Start tying a simple knot, but stop by leaving one end (short if you're going for symmetry) under the other. One of them should now go up perpendicular to the belt.
  • 3. From the lower end, form one of the “ears” of the future bow. Place the upper end under this “eye” and thread it into the loop formed above it.
  • 4. Make a second “eye”, bring the end into the loop again. Adjust the bow: its sides should be the same size and lie in the same way. Straighten the ends.

What is a belt?

A sash is put on by wrapping it around the waist, with the ends tied in a knot or bow. The wide part, depending on the style of the dress, is placed in the front or back, and the bow (knot) can be in the center or side of the dress. Sashes are often decorated with brooches, fur inserts or rhinestones. This is a stylish and bright accessory with which you can create a luxurious look.

Corset- one of the varieties of a wide belt, it adds sophistication and some frivolity to a woman’s image.

As you can see, there are several options for tying a belt, choose the one you like best! Choose several types of belt tying and you will look irresistible.

Often everyday clothes become so boring that you want something new. But not everyone can afford to buy new things. In order for any clothing to “play” in a new way, it is necessary to introduce something unusual into the image. If it comes to a blouse, then you can play it up by changing a brooch, pendant, or scarf.

But what to do if you want to update the appearance of your coat? Here everything depends on imagination and the desire to experiment. Looking ahead, we will talk about how to tie a belt on a coat so that it is impressive and unconventional.

A little about the coat

It is probably obvious that coats have long been popular as a type of outerwear for the fall – winter – spring seasons. For many seasons in a row, designers of world fashion houses have been presenting to the public new models, colors, variety of lengths and collars.

The following coat models have become popular:
- oversized;
- classic style;
- capes, capes, ponchos;
- grunge

Each of them a woman chooses solely based on the advantages or disadvantages of her own figure. For example, a classic wrap coat with a belt will suit absolutely any type of figure; here the right choice of color and material already takes place. But a coat-robe with an oversized belt should be chosen individually. Perhaps a belt will be inappropriate here, or this style will only reveal flaws in the figure.

But if the coat model includes a belt, then it will become the accent in transforming the usual way of wearing, the main thing is to determine its appropriateness.

How to tie a belt on a coat correctly

Since ancient times, a woman wearing a coat with a belt at the waist has been considered the embodiment of femininity and charm.

An exquisitely tied belt will emphasize the figure from its advantageous side - highlighting the relief of the hips and waist.

But how do you tie it correctly? The word “correct”, starting after the end of the Soviet Union, basically ceased to exist when it comes to fashion trends. But at the same time, many support some classic options for wearing this accessory with a coat. But do not confuse it with a belt, as these are completely different options for girdling.

Since there are belts that consist of a different material than the coat itself and have different widths and lengths, all tying options will look completely different.

1. Satin belt. Used in many models of cashmere coats. Usually the color of the belt contrasts with the main one. Good to use when you need to emphasize a voluminous waist.

2. Wide belt. You won't be able to make a bow out of it, but it looks great if you make a regular knot. Suitable for slim ladies. It is better not to use it in full.

3. Narrow belt. In this interpretation, it will look great on any figure. Various tying options are possible.

4. Long belt. Suitable for slender ladies. It can be wrapped twice around the waist and tied in a knot, or it can be tied into a bow and let out the long edges.

There can be many options for belts, and every year a new trend for wearing them appears. But if you just have your own style, and not follow fashion trends and trends, then common methods will help you change the type of tying. Style is an unchangeable part of your personality, which should not suffer due to unsuccessful decisions with accessories.

Classic version

After putting on a cozy coat, the process of tying the belt begins. It's just that a knot is not a classic, but boring. And here is a tied belt in the “pioneer tie” style (meaning the style of tying a knot). This method will hide the knot itself and will look neat. In the classic version, the binding site should be located in the front and center.

Unconventional option

When wearing a coat of a non-classical style, You can tie the belt with a careless, loose knot, which should be located on the side. This type of tying will add a slight casualness to the look and will look quite interesting.

Tying with a bow

How to tie a belt on a coat with a bow? Yes, very simple. This simple method of tying a belt is possible if it is of sufficient length. If you have skills in tying shoelaces, then you probably won’t have any problems with the belt. The principle is the same here. The size of the loops can be adjusted as you like. In order to get a pronounced bow shape, it is best to reduce the size of the loops and leave more for releasing the edges.

You should not place the resulting bow in the middle, but this does not apply to the case when the coat is flared at the bottom. In this form, the image will be logical.

Tying with a half bow

The pattern is the same as with the bow. Only now one end is released from the loop and released. There is only one loop left (half a bow). This fairly simple method will look original on belts of different widths.

If the belt is shaped like a belt

A belt is also a belt that has fittings (clasp or buckle). It is also used to belt coats. There are ideas for original tying here.

Thread the belt into the buckle, wrap the free end around the base and release it down;

Do the same as in the previous case, only from the free end form a knot with the end down;

Just make a knot as described in the non-traditional version, not paying attention to the buckle;

Thread the belt through the buckle, then form the free end into a loop. Step by step it looks like this: pull the end up through the bottom of the belt, wrap it in a loop and return the free edge down.

The figure eight shape will also look unusual. You can wrap the free edge of the belt around the strap, as if describing a figure eight shape.

These basic methods will be a solution from the ordinary and will encourage diversity. Of course, the above options are not the same, and in no case should limit your imagination.

Style is an immutable part of personality that should not suffer due to poor accessory decisions.

What to wear with a coat with a belt

You can wear a coat with almost all elements of your wardrobe - trousers, dresses, skirts. The importance of the coat pattern should be noted here.

An oversized model with a belt will be able to “play” with cropped ankle-length trousers and ankle boots; a skirt and dress will also fit into this ensemble, but it is advisable that their length be a little longer than the coat. Don't wear oversized skirts with floor-length skirts.

Models of the classic coat style with a belt shimmer with a variety of interpretations of combination with other wardrobe elements in the photos of the pages of glossy magazines.

But what to do if you only wear skirts and dresses? So this is a great combination for a coat of this model. The length of the coat and dress itself does not play a special role here, since everything will look harmonious if the dress and coat are longer.

But you need to be careful with trousers: classic pipes or tapered ones are suitable for straight models. They will not fit under a flared coat; skirts and dresses will be relevant in this case. If the coat is floor-length, then the clothes that will be underneath will not spoil the appearance.

Poncho and similar models can be combined with any clothing except jeans. Products made from it should be selected very carefully if the choice falls on a poncho.

Capes, on the contrary, look great with denim trousers. Trousers are not excluded either. But skirts and dresses should be selected with a knee-length sheath type.

conclusions

No matter how much you want to tie a belt, you need to feel harmony within yourself. Then the appearance and image will delight the eyes of passers-by and provide a comfortable feeling. We also recommend looking at. Choose the right style and feel unrivaled.
